About

I build systems end to end, and I own what I ship.

I'm a backend-focused engineer based in Dhanbad, India, working across the stack. Most of my work starts the same way: a domain with real rules in it — lending, learning, commerce, logistics — and a schema that has to express those rules correctly before any screen can be drawn.

Over the last three years I've delivered four full-stack platforms and one React Native app, covering database design, backend services, interfaces, CI pipelines and deployment. That range is the point: I can take a requirement from an ambiguous brief to a running, monitored system without waiting on a handoff.

I care most about the parts that are unglamorous and expensive to get wrong — authorization that actually holds, financial maths that balances to the last rupee, migrations that run twice without breaking, pipelines that fail loudly instead of silently. Where I can, I encode those guarantees in tests and CI gates so they stay true after I stop looking at them.

How I work

  • Schema before screens

I design the data model and its authorization rules first, then build the interface on top. It is faster than retrofitting either later.

  • Security at the boundary

Authorization belongs in the database and the edge, not in client-side checks that a user can simply bypass.

  • Verification over opinion

Type checks, tests and CI gates catch what review misses. On one project those gates caught real bugs before merge.

  • Pick the boring tool

Postgres and Redis solve most problems well. I add Kafka, sharding or polyglot stores only when the requirement earns them.

Experience

Roles, contracts and internship work.

A condensed history of where I have shipped and what I was responsible for at each stage.

  1. Full Stack Developer

    Present

    Nitecore Solutions Private Limited

    • Building and shipping production e-commerce websites for clients — product catalogues, cart and checkout flows, and order management — using Next.js, Node.js and MongoDB/PostgreSQL.
    • Developing LMS platforms with live class capabilities — video lesson delivery, class scheduling and student dashboards — for online education clients.
    • Owning features end-to-end across the stack: REST API design, authentication and role-based access control, and deployment to production.
    • Shipped additional client work — company websites with blogs, landing pages and utility tools such as a browser-based PDF editor — with SEO-ready structure, fully responsive layouts and fast load times.
  2. Independent Software Engineer / Contract Developer

    2022 – 2025

    Self-Employed

    • Architected event-driven backend services using Apache Kafka for asynchronous order processing and Redis for high-throughput caching, reducing database load by 40% and improving API latency.
    • Containerised full-stack applications with Docker and automated zero-downtime deployments via GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
    • Designed and built RESTful APIs with strict input validation, pagination and JWT-based RBAC middleware using Node.js, Express and Next.js.
    • Deployed production applications on AWS EC2 with an Nginx reverse proxy, SSL termination via Let's Encrypt and PM2 process management.
  3. Full Stack Developer Intern

    Jan 2026 – Mar 2026

    Aroha Technologies · Bangalore, India

    • Built the full frontend and backend of a RAG-powered conversational AI with a ChatGPT-style interface, streaming responses and persistent chat history.
    • Implemented end-to-end Firebase OAuth for Google and GitHub with MongoDB as the user store, handling token exchange and secure profile persistence.
    • Owned the chat history module: designed MongoDB schemas, built paginated history APIs and managed session-based context windows to optimise LLM token usage.
    • Collaborated in a cross-functional agile team to design API contracts, conduct code reviews and ship features faster.

Selected work

Five products, built and shipped.

Each of these is a working application with a real backend behind it — schemas, authorization, CI and deployment, not a front-end mock. Four are live and linked below.

Fintech · Loan Origination & Servicing

SafarLoan

A role-gated digital lending platform covering the complete loan lifecycle — application, underwriting, sanctioning, disbursal, repayment and NOC release — across separate portals for borrowers, loan officers and administrators, all served from a single Postgres database.

  • Shipped three role-gated portals behind one database, resolving roles at the edge so unauthorised users never reach a protected route.
  • Made Row-Level Security the authorization boundary across roughly 45 policies and 26 tables, so a leaked client key exposes no tenant data.
  • Built a reducing-balance EMI engine with drift-corrected amortisation schedules, dual-mode prepayment modelling and grace-period-aware late fees, mirrored exactly in a SQL function.
  • Scored applications against eight underwriting rules — FOIR, income, amount, tenure, headroom, CIBIL, collateral cover and PAN — each returning PASS, WARN or FAIL with actual-versus-required values instead of a single opaque verdict.

EdTech · AI-Powered Learning Platform

EduPress

A multi-role learning platform with dedicated student, instructor and admin dashboards. Polyglot persistence, real-time push, an event-driven certificate pipeline and a rate-limited AI study assistant, running as a web app plus three supporting backend processes.

  • Ran a polyglot persistence layer: PostgreSQL for relational course data, MongoDB for reviews, AI conversations and hash-sharded activity logs, and Redis for caching, rate limits and the job queue.
  • Enforced role-based access twice — edge route guarding in proxy.ts, plus cryptographic JWT verification on every API route with roles read from server-controlled app metadata.

Media · Full-Stack Streaming Platform

VideoStream

A YouTube-style video platform on the Next.js App Router, handling direct-to-cloud uploads, server-generated thumbnails, full-text search, threaded comments, channel subscriptions and resumable playback progress.

  • Streamed uploads straight to Cloudinary with real XHR progress and cancellable transfers, then generated thumbnails server-side from a URL transform — no temp files written to disk.
  • Modelled the domain in four Mongoose schemas with ten strategic indexes, including a compound text index powering search and a unique compound index guaranteeing one watch-history row per user and video pair.

Commerce · RAG AI Assistant

Ecommerce

A production electronics storefront with a retrieval-augmented shopping assistant. Pricing and every money movement live in Postgres as atomic functions, while the RAG layer runs on locally computed embeddings with hybrid vector and full-text search — no external model call, no per-request cost, and customer data that never enters the index.

  • Architected a production electronics storefront on Next.js 16 and Supabase with a faceted catalogue and Razorpay plus COD checkout, computing all pricing server-side in Postgres so a tampered client cannot set its own totals.
  • Designed a RAG shopping assistant on local bge-small embeddings — no external model API, no per-request cost, no data leaving the machine — using pgvector hybrid search that fuses vector and full-text results via Reciprocal Rank Fusion, with answers generated by Groq.

Mobile · On-Demand Service Booking

KaamNow

A Blinkit-style consumer booking app for skilled on-demand workers, built with Expo and React Native. Covers the full funnel from service discovery through slot selection, checkout, live tracking, booking history and ratings.

  • Built the complete booking funnel across twelve screens and ten routes: browse, service detail, slot and worker selection, checkout, confirmation, live tracking, history and ratings.
  • Encoded a six-state booking lifecycle with timeline, per-status design tokens, cancellation rules and rating eligibility as domain invariants in a single reducer.
